Imagine you are under attack, and you have to leave NOW! Or you’ve been injured and taken to hospital. This was reality in 2022, and continues along the eastern front in Ukraine. Many pets were left behind and now roam the village and city streets. There is hope, as a few people try to care for them in some places. But supplies are lacking. Some donors have specified that their donation be used for pet supplies, so dog and cat food are included on many trips into Ukraine by Byelich and friends.
